By using Voice to Text Online, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our service.

Service Description

Voice to Text Online provides two core services:

• Speech-to-Text (STT): Convert audio and video files into written transcripts using AI-powered transcription.
• Text-to-Speech (TTS): Convert written text into natural-sounding audio using AI voice synthesis.

The service is provided "as is" without any warranties or guarantees of accuracy.

Service Tiers & Pricing

We reserve the right to modify features and pricing with 30 days notice to existing subscribers.

Billing & Refunds

• Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually in advance.
• You may cancel your subscription at any time. Access continues until the end of the billing period.
• Refunds are available within 7 days of initial purchase if you have not used more than 10% of your monthly allowance.
• Credit purchases are non-refundable once credits have been used.
• Unused credits remain in your account indefinitely and do not expire.

Third-Party Services

Our service relies on the following third-party providers:

• AssemblyAI: Powers our Speech-to-Text transcription. Audio files are processed on AssemblyAI's servers according to their privacy policy.
• Google Cloud Text-to-Speech: Powers our Text-to-Speech synthesis. Text is processed on Google's servers according to their privacy policy.
• Stripe: Handles all payment processing. We do not store your credit card information. Subject to Stripe's terms of service.
• Supabase: Provides authentication and secure file storage.

We are not responsible for the practices of these third-party services. We encourage you to review their respective privacy policies.

Accuracy Disclaimer

Accuracy is not guaranteed. The quality of transcription and speech synthesis depends on various factors including:

• Audio quality and background noise
• Speaking clarity, pace, and accents
• Technical terminology and proper nouns
• Language and dialect variations
• Text formatting and punctuation (for TTS)

We recommend reviewing and editing transcribed text for accuracy before relying on it for important purposes.

Acceptable Use

When using our service, you agree to:

• Use the service for lawful purposes only
• Not upload content that infringes on intellectual property rights
• Not use the service to generate harmful, abusive, or misleading content
• Not attempt to circumvent usage limits or abuse the service
• Not use automated tools to scrape or overload the service
• Take responsibility for content you create using our tools

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Content Ownership

• You retain ownership of all audio files you upload and text you create.
• You retain ownership of all transcripts and generated audio output.
• We do not claim any rights to your content.
• Pro subscribers have commercial usage rights for TTS-generated audio.
• Free tier TTS output is for personal, non-commercial use only.

Data Retention

• Uploaded audio files may be automatically deleted after 30 days to manage storage.
• Transcripts are retained in your account until you delete them.
• TTS-generated audio is not stored on our servers; it is generated on-demand.
• You can delete your account and all associated data at any time.

Account Termination

• You may delete your account at any time through account settings.
• Upon deletion, all your data including transcripts and credits will be permanently removed.
• Active subscriptions will be cancelled and no further charges will occur.
• We may terminate accounts that violate these terms with or without notice.

Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your data.

Limitation of Liability

Voice to Text Online is provided "as is" without any warranties. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all liability for:

• Inaccurate transcriptions or speech synthesis
• Service interruptions, downtime, or errors
• Data loss or corruption
• Any direct, indirect, or consequential damages arising from use of the service
• Actions of third-party service providers

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding any claim.

Intellectual Property

The Voice to Text Online website, including its design, functionality, branding, and content, is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our service without permission.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in courts of competent jurisdiction.
